James E. Shekoyan has nearly 50 years’ experience in agricultural and commercial real estate matters, business entity consultation and formation, succession planning, estate tax and gift tax planning, estate planning utilizing revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, private foundations and other entities, and the administration of trusts and estates.

Background

Mr. Shekoyan, a Baker Manock & Jensen senior counsel, has been a lawyer for more than 55 years. He represents many agricultural and business entities and individual clients, a number of them for more than 30 years. Prior to commencing private practice, he was an Assistant United States Attorney in Los Angeles for four years.

Mr. Shekoyan is a past president of the Fresno Estate Planning Council, past president of California State University Fresno Business Associates, founding and past board member of the Fresno Business Council, past board member of the State of California Water Commission, past board member of California State University Fresno President Advisory Board, current board member and past president of the California Supreme Court Historical Society, current board member of Valley PBS public television station, and past member of other community organizations, and served as chairman of the City of Fresno Little Hoover Commission.
